Erdem graduated from the Industrial Engineering programme at the Middle East Technical University (METU), where he remained to complete a Masters in Industrial Product Design. In 2010, he earned his PhD in Industrial Design at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
He has published articles in international magazines and has spoken at conferences on the topics of experience design, emotional design and user research. Erdem has been consulted on user research projects for Microsoft and Renault, and has led design workshops for Philips and Procter & Gamble. He has managed a number of online user experience projects for banks across Turkey and I-AM’s international clients.
