Emre, the co-founder of I-AM Istanbul, is a senior architect and graduate of the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. Emre’s understanding of architectural design was honed through success in architectural competitions after graduating in 2001.
In 2004 he founded Atölye 7A Architecture in Ankara with architectural partner and industrial designer, Ertuğrul Yurdakul. The firm enjoyed considerable early success, creating a variety of high-profile architecture and interior design projects. 2007 brought an important career shift as the office was moved from Ankara to İstanbul.
The company’s direction changed in 2008 after a meeting with the I-AM team from London. Later that year, I-AM Istanbul was founded upon the design principles of 360º customer experience. Some remarkable projects have since been completed using the I-AM methodology. Emre’s projects include work for Garanti Bank, Unicredit, Mey (Diageo), Kale Kilit, Dumankaya and Odeabank.
