I-Am Associates Ltd (I-AM) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in line with the new General Data Protection Regulation introduced in May 2018. I-Am Associates is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners’ Office).

This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data. We will never sell your personal data and collect only information that is relevant and lawful. It will also tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Visitors to our website

When you visit we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns to find out things such as the number of visitors to our website.  This is processed in a way that it does not identify you. We do not use cookies.

Social Media

If you contact us through social media we will not pass on your details to anyone and we do not export information from social media platforms.

Email Communication & Cyber Security

We take our cyber-security very seriously and employ third-party IT support, Abbeycomp. Their privacy policy can be found here. We have put in place appropriate security measures to ensure your personal data is safe and to prevent it from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. We limit access to those employees who have a business need to know.


I-AM provides services to the public and as such we hold the details of our clients in order to provide the requested service. Specific data is collected and stored on our server and is protected by security as set out in the paragraph above. We never pass on this information and it is only accessible to those who need the information in order to carry out the agreed contract. We use a third party to process this data in order to track project hours and invoicing, Paprika Software, their privacy policy is available immediately upon request. Access to this software is password protected and accessible only to employees who require access in order to carry out the agreed contract.


We send out a newsletter to a select database who have been requested to be on it. We use a third party to store and process this information, Infusion Soft, their privacy policy can be found here.

Job Applicants, Current & Former Employees

I-AM is the data controller for the information you provide during the process of applying for a job with us unless otherwise stated. If you have any queries as to how we handle your information, please contact us at [email protected]

All the information you provide us with will be used only for the purpose of progressing with your application. We will never share information provided by you with anyone outside of the application process and it will be stored securely throughout. Should you be unsuccessful we will dispose of your information securely (whether electronic or on paper) or we will discuss with you whether you would like us to keep your details on file in order to be considered for future roles.

Should you be successful in your application you will be asked to provide further information in order for us to confirm your identity, your right to work in the UK and to confirm relevant claims made in your application process. These will include, a copy of your passport, proof of qualifications (if applicable), bank account details for payroll, next of kin name and telephone number for emergency use. This information is only accessible to those who require it.

We do not routinely collect any special category data (sensitive data including race, ethnic origin, political views, religion, trade union membership, genetics, biometrics, health, sex life, sexual orientation). Once you are in employment we will keep a record of any certificate of sickness you provide us with for our records which will be accessible only to our Group Operations Director.


Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Exact timeframes can be requested directly from us.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
