Jamaica Patty Co. Branding & Interior Design

The owner of Jamaica Patty Co. was frustrated by the lack of fresh Jamaican food in the UK and keen to offer a sophisticated and contemporary experience with authentic flavours. She approached I-AM to develop the concept for a range of fast-casual restaurant designs, celebrating the modern spirit of Jamaica and breathing new life into its traditional culinary experience.

Launching the Jamaica Patty Co. Experience

The first Jamaica Patty Co. venue was unveiled last March in London’s popular Covent Garden district. As an ode to Jamaica’s traditions, I-AM incorporated the Jamaican flag colours and pattern into the interiors, exteriors and branded collateral. A digital plasma screen wall, featuring colours and abstract elements of the flag, adds a cool and contemporary allure. It is complemented by a patterned barrisol ceiling featuring strong, angular shapes, which floods the interiors with light.

The result is an exuberant space, which is vibrant and dynamic. Yet it is also authentic, in order to complement the unique national dishes and products on the menu. Jamaica Patty Co. represents Jamaica in a whole new light and is no doubt a unique addition to London’s Caribbean food scene.
