At the heart of Aviva Zero is the fact you can give something back to the planet.


As part of AVIVA’s ambition to become a net-zero car company, they have launched new carbon-conscious car insurance which gives the customer all the benefits of AVIVA’s comprehensive car insurance plus carbon offsetting. When a customer purchases a zero-car insurance product, AVIVA will pay to offset the carbon created by customers driving their cars for a year at no cost to the customer. This will be possible by calculating the carbon generated through the customer’s vehicle type and transferring funds to Climate Care to invest in solar water heating systems in India.

I-AM were engaged to help AVIVA create a mini-site for the product in time for the fast-approaching launch event. The aim of this page was to inspire and engage with customers, whilst providing detail to analysts and shareholders. The challenge was to create something that looked and felt different to the rest of the main AVIVA website, whilst working within the constraints of the existing brand guidelines. In this short 2 week project, I-AM and AVIVA worked in a highly collaborative way; kicking off with a mini-workshop to define the communication and content, then exploring two different visual concepts and illustration styles, and finally developing the chosen design and content.
